This looks really good and I'm very intrigued by the story. As I stated in the review, I know that editors catch most of these before the final printing. :-)

@Christina - The format is really helping me assign a number to the reviews. In my personal reading, it's just pass or fail for no understandable reason whatsoever. I'm trying to be better! :-) As for Louse - totally made me snicker. I won't even get started on what I've accidentally called Louisiana in the past.Kayla Beckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02063162666132410730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450914320242093494.post-45466647681506740042012-07-17T14:43:27.987-05:002012-07-17T14:43:27.987-05:00Actually, what you might be seeing is a scene wher...Actually, what you might be seeing is a scene where one of her family/friends calls her by the nickname they had a habit of using. Everyone in the family seemed to have nicknames. So Louise, to some, became Lousie or Louse. Yes, it can confuse readers if you don't realize what's going on. Helena, for instance, was sometimes called Lenchen. Why? I have no idea. But that's one of the fascinating things about writing about real people. Love the cover, though.

I'm not totally sold, but I'll keep an eye on it.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00370486039531015541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450914320242093494.post-79664966308281395762012-07-17T10:14:20.200-05:002012-07-17T10:14:20.200-05:00Thanks so much for your insightful review, Kayla! ...Thanks so much for your insightful review, Kayla! Glad you found so much to like about the story, even though it's a departure from your genre favorites. Hearing what works, or doesn't, from readers--that's what makes an author's next book even better. Hugs, MHPMary Hart Perryhttp://www.maryhartperry.comnoreply@blogger.com
