Nancy Ohlin
Cover Reveal Organizer: Xpresso Book Tours
Release Date: November 10, 2015

Bea has a secret.

Actually, she has more than one. There’s her dreams for the future that she can’t tell anyone—not her father and not even her best friend, Plum.

And now there’s Dane Rossi. Dane is hot, he shares Bea’s love of piano, and he believes in her.

He’s also Bea’s teacher.

When their passion for music crosses into passion for each other, Bea finds herself falling completely for Dane. She’s never felt so wanted, so understood, so known to her core. But the risk of discovery carries unexpected surprises that could shake Bea entirely. Bea must piece together what is and isn’t true about Dane, herself, and the most intense relationship she’s ever experienced, in this absorbing novel from Nancy Ohlin.

About Nancy Ohlin

I am the author of Beauty, a YA retelling of the Snow White tale, and always, forever, a YA retelling of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca. Always, Forever was originally published in hardcover as Thorn Abbey.

I've also contributed to several celebrity novels, including a New York Times-bestselling YA trilogy.

I'm currently hard at work on my next YA novel, which will be as mind-bending as Always, Forever (I hope!).

My favorite cures for writers' block are long walks, long showers, popcorn, chocolate, and really expensive coffee. I talk to myself a lot while I write (you know, to make sure the dialogue zings).

Now with the beasts concentrating their attacks on Finn, he and his master must race to locate the lost Spear of the Tuatha De Danaan, the only weapon that can destroy the Amandán, all the while hiding his true identity from his new friends, Rafe and Savannah, twins whose South African roots may hold a key to Finn’s survival.

Cover Thoughts

I'm not big on CGI, and the gore is a bit much for my taste, but the cover is definitely striking. I liked the first cover a lot, but I had issues with the font. But anywho, who cares what I think?

Would I buy it?

Umm, I think I already own an ecopy, but I'm not sure. (I have no idea why I haven't read this already.) I don't know if I could have the physical copy in my house because my daughter has way too active of an imagination and wouldn't be able to sleep at night if she saw it. I guess that's a good thing for a horror novel, right?

What do you think of the cover? Would you read the book?

No comments:

Today I'm happy to be featuring the Living Blond Trilogy by Allison Rushby Blitz with Xpresso Book Tours! Scroll through the post to learn about these exciting novels!

Diamonds are a Teen's Best Friend (Living Blond #1)

Nessa Joanne Mulholland, aka Marilyn Monroe's No. 1 teenage fan, is used to moving house. This time, however, she's relocating in movie-star style—crossing the Atlantic on board the Majestic, headed for Paris from New York City. And it really would be in movie-star style if it wasn't for the fact that she's bringing her cringe-fest professor dad along for the ride (Dad's specialization: human mating rituals—need Nessa say more?). Oh yeah, and sharing a cabin that's five decks below sea level and next to the engine room. Still, at least Holly Isles is on board. Yes, really, that Holly Isles—star of stage and screen. Suddenly, things are looking up. Looking a little Marilyn, in fact, because events are strangely mirroring Nessa's favorite movie of all time, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Watch!

As Holly Isles, world-famous actress, confides in Nessa over mocktails.

Listen!

As Nessa coaches Holly in the amazing "Nessa's Lesson's in Love"—the ultimate man-catching rules to finding true and lasting lurv.

See!

Nessa fall for Holly's too-cute nephew, Marc. . . and

Cover your eyes!

As it all goes terribly, horribly, embarrassingly wrong.

There's no doubting it. This is going to be one pitchy crossing.

Cover Reveal: Jenny's Blue Velvet by Angela Carlie

No comments:

Title: Jenny's Blue Velvet
Author:
Angela Carlie
Cover Design: Steven Novak
Genre:
Romantic Thriller
Age Group: Adult
Cover Reveal Organizer: Xpresso Book Tours

Jenny's stuck.

She's tried just about every occupation she can think of and will be digging out of student debt for a very long time, but has nothing to show for it. Her everyday routine feels like a prison. And her marriage? Well, let's just say it's been a little one-sided lately and the money she threw down on the toys from Lover's Erotic Store was well worth it and then some.

Jenny decides her next big step is to become a romance writer. Romance books are flying off the virtual shelves, after all. This will be her big break, her escape from the prison, and a way to freedom. Self-publishing is all the rage these days. She'll be a best seller in no time.

When Jenny makes friends with a woman named Cassandra from the gym, she instantly decides that her new friend will make a perfect main character in her upcoming book. After the first chapter, real life begins to resemble the fiction she's writing. Her friendship blossoms, sex with her husband turns into a daily feast, and her job gets more interesting with each chapter written.

Out of the blue, a person who is a close friend with her husband and who is dating Cassandra disappears. As the mystery behind the missing person unfolds, Jenny wonders if she might be responsible for his possible death. And if she is, what will be the consequence? What has this writing business gotten her into?

Facts about Angela Carlie

I write fiction. I work hard. I play often.

When I'm not pushing a mouse around at a desk job, which is boring, or writing, which is fun, I enjoy hanging out with my fourteen-year-old son and husband, reading, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and running.

Hawaii and Washington are my two favorite states.

I believe that if everyone ate a whole-food plant based diet, cancer cases would be a minimum, heart disease a thing of the past, and hunger something found in history books.

One of my favorite documentaries is Forks Over Knives.

I love hearing about people reading my books, so if you enjoyed one of my stories, please let me know by leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads.

Thank you for spending time with my stories. We don't have much of it, and I appreciate that you find my work worthy of your time.

Cover Thoughts

Blue is my favorite color, so I tend to be partial of books that use it. As for this particular book cover, I can't stop staring at the damn thing. It is so beautiful and well done. I love the hair, background, eye make-up, EVERYTHING! I think Jenny's Blue Velvet just might be the prettiest cover that I've seen this week.

Would I buy it?

Tempting, but no. I would have to read some reviews of the book before I picked Jenny's Blue Velvet up. I don't read a lot of romantic thrillers, and since I'm trying to curtail my book spending, I try to avoid buying a book for the cover alone.

What do you think of the cover? Would you read the book?
