For the past three or so years, I've participated in the Broke & Bookish Secret Santa, and it's always a lot of fun. I sent out the goodies to my recipient (she's not been home to receive her package yet, so I'm not spoiling) a two weeks or so ago, and I received my package from my Secret Santa earlier this week at the most perfect time. (My family and I get a little nutso around the holidays, so distractions are a good thing.)
My Goodies
Chris from Rocklin, California (I haven't been able to figure out who this person is yet, unfortunately) sent me a fantastic package. I came home from work to find this:
Do you guys get the same surge of pleasure to get a cardboard box on your doorstep with your name on it? And here's what was inside:
That cute mini-sweater? It's a Christmas card that lights up and sings. I hung that bad boy right on my tree.
I only wear socks in the winter, but I was super-excited to get these. I'll be wearing them to our deer club in the near future to make the other members jealous of my toasty feet.
I am a part of a family that is overrun with elves from the shelf. I say that in plural because we have a boy and a girl - Jimmy and Maria - as well as Uncle Si, who came with Uncle Si the Christmas Elf. That being said, these have already been stolen by my 8 year old.
I got a little overly excited, so I didn't take a picture of the wrapped gift. But look! I got Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay! *dances*
I managed to compose myself this time, but it was difficult as it had wrapping paper and was in the shape of a book!
Gates of Thread and Stone by Lori M. Lee - woohoo!
I'm such a chocoholic that this was almost the best thing about the box - CHOCOLATES!
Final View
Thank you so very, very much, Chris! Once I figure out who you are, I'll thank you properly.
Side Note
I hope everyone of you who celebrates Christmas had a wonderful day yesterday, and those of you who don't, I hope you enjoyed the Doctor Who marathon that has been going on the past few days on BBC. In any case, happy holidays to all, no matter what you celebrate!
I nearly fell off the bed laughing at the post title. Unveiling Your Goodies are you? That should get a high page rank. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat gifts, though! What is a deer club?
Hehe, you liked that, huh? ;-)
DeleteThe deer club is just what we call my boyfriend's hunting club. I don't hunt, but I hang out there with him on the weekends. We play poker on Friday and Saturday nights during deer season, and I'm pretty addicted.
