Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Spring 2014 TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books on My Spring 2014 TBR List

1. Ruins (Partials Sequence #3) by Dan Wells

This was released on March 11, 2014, and I used my Audible credit for this month to download the audiobook. I am so excited to finish this Dystopian series!

2. Hexed (The Witch Hunter #1) by Michelle Krys

I love reading about witches; they're probably my top fantasy characters. So, when I saw this described as The Craft meets Bring It On, I was sold. I received a review copy from NetGalley and I can't wait to get started.

3. Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy #1) by Danielle L. Jensen

I have wanted to read this since I first saw it. I am completely intrigued by the trolls under the curse. Also, Kayla loved it. I have her ARC now (thanks Kayla!) so I cannot wait to throw myself into the world.

4. These Broken Stars (Starbound #1) by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

I have heard such great things about this book! You can read Kayla's review HERE. I currently have it checked out from the library. I just need to make some time to read it and get into the mood to read about space!

5. Vicious by Victoria Schwab

I have heard great things about this book and this author. I've never read anything by Schwab, but this book, The Near Witch and The Archived are all on my TBR.

6. Cold Steel (Spiritwalker #3) by Kate Elliott

Although the books aren't perfect and have some pacing issues, I really liked the first two in the trilogy. I also plan on starting Elliott's Crown of Stars series soon.

7. The Line (Witching Savannah #1) by J.D. Horn

I chose this book as part of Amazon's Kindle First program. It has been sitting on my Kindle since January. Kayla read it and loved it, so now I really have some incentive to read it. You can read Kayla's review HERE.

8. Not a Drop to Drink (Not a Drop to Drink #1) by Mindy McGinnis

Another book that I have heard great things about and has been sitting on my Kindle since I bought it during a Kindle Daily Deal.

9. Kushiel's Chosen (Phèdre's Trilogy #2) by Jacqueline Carey

I listened to the first in the trilogy on audiobook, and had a little trouble with listening to all the BDSM. It made me terribly uncomfortable. Other than that, I loved it. It was such a great epic fantasy. Kayla recommended that I read the second one in hard copy, so I bought a copy when I was in a bookstore in Austin.

10. I Love You More by Jennifer Murphy

This is not really a typical "me" book. But there's something about the mystery of a man who had secret lives with three separate wives that I find intriguing. I've seen this compared to Gone Girl, which I really don't want because I HATED Gone Girl. I know I'm probably in the minority there. I hope it's only comparable because they both contain dysfunctional marriages.

    1. Enderswas one of those books that while I'm glad I read it, I didn't actually enjoy reading it. I still can't sort out my feelings for it. I hope you enjoy it though!
