Thankful Thursday (4)

1 comment:

Thankful Thursday is a feature on the last Thursday of every month here at Bibliophilia, Please. It allows me to share not only the books that I receive, but also the bloggers, authors, lolcats, aliens, and other entities on the interwebz that made my month amazing.

Hi, guys! I'm going to keep this short and sweet this go-round because I'm trying to get ready for Hurricane Isaac to hit my area.

Hi, guys! It's actually me blogging! *twirls* I apologize for things being a bit slow around here, but you guys are consistently awesome in still hanging about. Last month I had to deal with doctor visit after doctor visit, and this month was crazy because of a very hard out-of-town funeral, dating (don't be too shocked - I'm not THAT old!), and a sick baby. I won't even get started on the crap my email account has been giving me. By the way, if I was supposed to respond to an email you sent me - let me know. I may have sent it and then had it eaten by Interwebz Gremlins.

*shudders* Anywho, on with the thankfulness!

Teaser Tuesdays (7)

7 comments:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

In My Mailbox (10)

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren. It gives readers the chance to spotlight the books they received over the past week, whether they are for review, won, gifted, or borrowed.

This was a really good week for me, and I am so grateful for it. I've been needing some awesome to add to my sauce from all the Suck that's been going on lately. My IMM is going to be a mess like last week, but I took a picture of everything together earlier in the week (it all came on Friday!), and I don't feel like digging everything out to do it again. :-)

April at Bibliophilia, Please

No comments:
I figure instead of only posting the giveaway winners for this month, I'll just do a wrap-up in general for you. First of all, there were four contests that ended in April. I had quite a bit of trouble getting winners for two giveaways this last month, so I did away with the extra entries on most contests hosted by me. (There will be exceptions, of course, but hopefully not often.) The winners are as follows:

Hi guys! Sorry that I missed last week, but I'm back - mostly (I'm still mucking through unread email). Anywho, here is my haul for the past two weeks. Please excuse the picture quality, but I didn't feel like readjusting all of the settings from my camera.

I had a great week this week. When I came home from Morgan City, Louisiana last Sunday, I stopped by the post office. I had an embarrassing number of little yellow slips letting me know that I had a ridiculous amount of mail waiting for me. Not all of it was book and blog related, but isn't that an exciting thing to find? I should let you know that I'm not having as many insomnia issues anymore, and that is what has led directly to an insane number of won items. When I can't sleep, I enter giveaways. Sometimes, I just happen to win - which is not a lot at all if I ever admitted to the silly number. And I won't. Now to the fun stuff!

I had a pretty nice week over here at Bibliophilia, Please. I was able to take pictures of most of my haul, but I am missing a really nice handmade bookmark that I received in the mail. As soon as I steal it back from my five year old, I'll put it up for next week's IMM.

I realized after I posted last week that I had left off a few ebooks that I had purchased. I always forget to check my Kindle (and I still haven't checked my Nook) for what I throw on, spur of the moment. I did get two physical books in the mail, which is VERY exciting! Since I'm not at home, I'm just posting cover pictures of what I received. Yes, I should have taken pictures this morning, but working on Saturdays still throws me off two years later. Anywho, here's what I have received this week:

As I had promised you guys last week, this week's haul is not nearly as... Extravagant? It is still amazing and I am beyond grateful, but it doesn't give you a false impression about how popular I am in the blogosphere. I am a peon, I know this, and quite frankly, I love it. Here's what I have received this week:
