Welcome to my stop on the Happily Ever After Giveaway Hop hosted by the wonderful blogs, I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Murphy's Library! I adore fairy tales, or any story with a Happily Ever After, so I am extremely excited about this hop!
What You Can Win
One of the best things about books with a Happily Ever After in it is the main character thinks they know what they want, but their ending is sometimes very different and preferable. I think I'm going to take a page from that book (okay, I won't start with puns) and spin it to meet my own ends.
Based on the winner's answer in the Rafflecopter, I will send them a surprise book. (It'll be fine, I promise. I'm not at all saying you don't know what you really) We all love surprises at some level, and hopefully the winner will get a Happily Ever After with the book of their dreams!
Giveaway Requirements
- Be thirteen (13) years old, have parental consent, or lie about it. (Please don't do that.)
- Live somewhere that can get shipments from Amazon, Fishpond, or the Book Depository for free.
- Be Awesome (and fill out the Rafflecopter).
- Following is NOT required, but it is always appreciated. Your options are on my sidebar, but I will tell you that I am yet to figure out Linky.
- You can help me spread the word, but it isn't required either.
You're also welcome to enter my OTHER GIVEAWAYS while you're here. Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!
I love your idea of happily ever after, and also surprising us with the book! My idea of happily ever after is probably something like Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross. (I know, the title doesn't sound pretty.) Probably because of the entire modern fairytale concept, because that's just really cool how practically all the characters are going through something terrible, and not all of them gets it resolved in the end. Plus Sisters Red, because it has this very ordinary and quiet, yet wonderfully beautiful ending. Or something like Entwined by Heather Dixon, because classic fairytales are also really sweet. Oh, oh and The Space Between, because Daphne's supposed to be evil by nature, yet she's so awfully sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I shall stop right here, or I'll continue rambling on for hours about my favourite Ever Afters.
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins:)
ReplyDeleteThank you:)

ReplyDeleteI guess Princess and the Frog. :)
ReplyDeleteThumbelina was my favorite fairytale when I was little. ^_^
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a giveaway! Um... one of my favorite fairytales is a less well-known Brothers Grimm one that translated directly from German would be called something like 'The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs'. The guy has to bring the king the devils three golden hairs to gain his consent to marry the princess, and he has to fulfill three quests by the devil to get them. The devil's grandma gives him hints and stuff. It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Maybe Auracle, by Gina Rosati.:-?

ReplyDeleteTangled or Beauty and the Beast.

There is no way I could name my favorite book with a HEA ending there are just way to many. As far as animated fairy tales I will stray from the normal Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast (which I really did love them both) and go with Tangled. It had romance, humor and adventure!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
My favourite book with a HEA ending is Wanderlove. There were so many things I found relatable to the main character especially with her struggle with drawing and art. I was going through a slump myself at the time I was reading that book and seeing her get the HEA motivated me to draw again. Her story gave me hope. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteI like Alice in Wonderland.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fairy tale is Little Red Riding Hood.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I like the way it ends - with the couple together but things are still a bit of a mess... I like that. I think it's fantastic that happily ever after doesn't mean that everything's easy and there's still drama in all relationships.
ReplyDeleteEither that or Beauty and the Beast. :)
Thanks for the giveaway :)
My favorite is Beauty and the Beast!
