Top Ten Books on My Fall To-Be-Read List

1. The Perilous Sea (The Elemental Trilogy #2) by Sherry Thomas

I'm actually reading this one right now. I loved the first in the series, The Burning Sky. The series has some of my favorite tropes: mages, court politics and a tyrant to be overthrown.

2. Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy #1) by Ilona Andrews
October 28, 2014

A new series by Ilona Andrews! That's really all I need to know. I have an e-ARC, but I haven't brought myself to read it yet, because I'll be so sad when I finish it that I have to wait until next year for a new Ilona Andrews book.

3. Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
October 21, 2014

Maggie Stiefvater! Blue! Gansey! The rest of the Raven Boys! There are no coherent thoughts in all my excitement to get my hands on this book (rather my ears, because I love Will Patton's narration).

4. Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin #3) by Robin LaFevers
November 4, 2014

I get to read this in less than 2 months! Nooooo, the trilogy will be over in less than 2 months! If you haven't picked up this series, do it now! All I have to say is assassin nuns.

5. Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover (The Rules of Scoundrels #4) by Sarah MacLean November 25, 2014

I have such high expectations for this finale book, and I know that MacLean will deliver.

6. In a Handful of Dust (Not a Drop to Drink #2) by Mindy McGinnis

I just loved the first, Not a Drop to Drink. I don't know how I feel about Lucy traveling away from the pond, but I still can't wait to read it.

7. Chasing Power by Sarah Beth Durst
October 14, 2014

I loved The Lost, so I can't wait to see what Durst does with her newest book.

8. The Young Elites (The Young Elites #1) by Marie Lu
October 7, 2014

I really enjoyed Lu's Legend trilogy, so I can't wait to read her newest series. Kayla said she liked it even better than Legend so that makes me want to read it even more. You can read her review HERE.

9. Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes #1) by Sara Raasch
October 14, 2014

A new fantasy series! That's all I need to know about this really. Kayla loved it so it's guaranteed that I'll read it now. You can read her review HERE.

10. Three Parts Dead (Craft Sequence #1) by Max Gladstone

I recently ran across this, and have no idea how two years after its publication I'm just now finding it. But it just sounds fantastic - steampunk and necromancy!

What books are on your Fall TBR?

  4. Great selection! Snow Like Ashes is on my TTT post! I'm picking up The Burning Sky from the library tomorrow, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to the release of Chasing Power and The Young Elites. I own Grave Mercy but haven't read it yet, I'm hoping to finish both books before the 3 one releases!

    1. I hope you love both The Burning Sky and Grave Mercy! I also hope you start Grave Mercy soon because it's a longer book, but so awesome, and Dark Triumph is even better. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. If you like the Raven Boys audio book you should try out The Scorpio Races one. It is absolute perfection. I think anything by Maggie Stiefvater is meant to be read out loud.
I've seen Snow Like Ashes around everywhere and I know I've heard good things about it, but I can't for the life of me remember the premise. I should probably go look that up.

    1. Listening to The Scorpio Races is what put me back on the Maggie Steifvater bandwagon. I wasn't sure after the ending to her Mercy Falls series, but I became OBSESSED after The Scorpio Races. Thanks for stopping by!
